Hallmark - a quality standard award for Village and Community Awards. 

Devised and launched in Somerset in 2002 Hallmark is now a recognised awards since its national launch in 2007.

The aim of the Hallmark Award is to:

bullet Encourage and establish good practice
bullet Encourage improvement in established management and procedures 
bulletReward and recognise good practice

·        Hallmark 1 focuses on the management and administration of the charity.

·        Hallmark 11 focuses on the health, safety, licences and risk assessments.

·        Hallmark 111 focuses on community and social awareness, communications, forward planning and development.
 

Official visitors who are,  or have been active hall committee members at their hall visit halls that have submitted an entry.  The hall committee receive,  before the visit, a check list that the visitors will be using to assess the management of the hall, this gives the committee the opportunity to put in place aspects that they are not doing.

To enter:

bullet

entry is free to hall committees with a current subscription to the Community Council.

bullet

non subscribing hall committees the entry fee is £30 for halls serving a community under 1,000 and £40 for those serving communities of 1,001 and above.
