How do I use the text resizing To use the accessibilty text resize control simply click one of the three As to resize the text to the appropriate size. Alternatively you can resize the text using your browsers own controls by holding ctrl and scrolling the mouse wheel or pressing the arrow keys.

Training Sessions

 

The Community Council for Somerset are holding three training events for Village and Community Buildings in the next couple of months.

 

These are as follows

 

Fire Warden Training  - Wednesday 16th June from 10am - 1pm to be held at Othery Village Hall TA7 0QR

This will give hall committee members to undertake Fire Warden Training using and interactive DVD produced by Interactive Health and Safety.

The Training covers:

  • Fire Risk Assessment
  • Fire Evacuation
  • Use of Fire Extinguishers

Certifiates will be awarded on completion of a short test (optional)

Cost of training is £12 per person for halls with a current subscription to the Community Council for Somerset and £16 per person for non subscribing halls

Bookings must be received by Tuesday 7th June 2010.

Information Day for Hall Committee Members - Minimising Risks - Wednesday 7th July 2010  10am - 1pm to be held at Bishops Lydeard Village Hall   TA4 3LH

 

The day will cover:

  • Health and Safety
  • Health and Hygiene
  • Financial
  • Fire

The cost of this day is as follows:  For subscribing halls £7.00 for up to 2 persons from the same hall committee.  For non subscribing halls £7.00 per person.

Information Day for Hall Committee Members - Am I Liable? - on Tuesday 20th July 2010 - 1.30pm - 4.00pm - to be held at Marston Magna Village Hall BA22 8BX

 

The afternoon will cover:

  • Am I Liable? - a look at responsibilities of committee members as Charity Trustees
  • Preparing for your AGM and Your Annual Report - Are we doing it right? Do we have to do an annual report and what should be in it?

 

The cost of this day is as follows:  For subscribing halls £7.00 for up to 2 persons from the same hall committee.  For non subscribing halls £7.00 per person.
