This modern village hall is situated on the A358 one and a half miles from Taunton in the Minehead direction. It is convenient from both junctions 25 and 26 on the M5.

 

The building has a large hall (Tom Fraser Hall), a meeting room (Mary Mercer Room), kitchen and toilets on the ground floor and a committee room upstairs.

 

 

The Hall's History

Staplegrove Village Hall was built in 1996 on the site of the previous hall that was destroyed by fire. The hall has an active management committee and a full programme of activities.

  • Tom Fraser Hall (53 x 28 ft)
  • Mary Mercer Room (28 x 16 ft): with overhead digital projector and screen.
  • Committee Room with tables and seating for 15
  • Kitchen, equipped with water boiling system, cooker, commercial dishwasher and crockery and cutlery for 100 persons. Serving hatches to both Tom Fraser Hall and Mary Mercer Room.
  • Access to all ground floor areas for disabled
  • Toilet for disabled with baby nappy changing unit
  • Heating by storage heaters
  • Car Parking for 18 vehicles on site and parking is permitted on the road outside
  • PA and Loop systems available
  • Public telephone, coin operated.
  • Large and small tables available
  • 150 chairs which can be looped together for meetings.
