MOORLAND HALL, WHEDDON CROSS
The Moorland Hall in Wheddon Cross is ideally suited for any event. With new facilities and a lick of paint the hall is much more user friendly.
Wheddon Cross/Cutcombe is the highest village on Exmoor, and is situated on the crossroads of the main routes that run between Minehead and Dulverton (from north to south A396) and from Taunton through to North Devon (from east to west B3224)
Built in 1934, the Moorland Hall was so called as it served many communities on Exmoor, not just Wheddon Cross. Redevelopment took place in 2005. The hall was officially reopened by the Earl of Wessex on 15th September 2006.
The whole building is centrally heated, has toilets for men and women with a separate disabled toilet with a baby changing area.
Approx 20 cars can be parked outside the hall
Therapy room
Main Hall
Before the redevelopment of the Moorland Hall it was only possible to hold one event in the main hall and one in a small side room. With more space available now, several events can take place at one time:
