Village of the Year Competition 2007

After seeking feedback from last year's entrants, the Community Council for Somerset has decided against running the Village of the Year Competition this year.

A key reason for this is to enable the Community Council for Somerset to address the low number of entries and lack of general interest from rural communities by re-thinking the marketing and publicity of the competition, its focus and aims and objectives.  We will keep you posted as to whether a re-launch will happen in 2008 towards the end of this year.
